When to quit

So, when do you really know that its time to be done with a relationship? I have a couple of friends going through a tough time right now and when you are on the outside looking in, its easy to say, this is what you should do. However, haven't all of us at one time or another been so blind by love that even though you know your in the wrong situation, you continue seeing him/her in hopes that things will change?

But at what point do you call it quits? Do you wait until both people hate each other or is it possible to end it while you are still civil and can try to salvage a friendship out of it? A lot of people say you can't be friends after a breakup. I, however, disagree with that. Maybe it will take some time, but why is it that you can't be friends? You have spent so much time with that person, why allow it to end so ugly? Unless of course he is abusive or cheating and throwing it in your face....I suppose it just depends on the circumstances. 

Why good guys finish last

I think I have finally figured out why good guys finish last. Yes, they are out there, the guys that will be attentive to your every need and will say and do all the right things and never ask for anything in return. He will just love you unconditionally and be by your side. So why is it that girls tend to dump those guys and move on to someone that isn't so loving and tends to think about themselves and expects you to take care of them?

It is because men have to feel wanted and women have to feel needed. Women have a maternal instinct and want to take care, nurture and help....if a man doesn't need us to do things for them, to take care of them then we tend to move on to a guy that does need that.

Don't get me wrong, both sex's have the desire to be both needed and wanted, but lets face it, men seek out multiple women, women seek out one man. I think that men are the sex that have to feel wanted and women are the sex that have to feel needed. And that is why I think the good guys finish last. But in the end, they do finish:)

Giving a little back

I am not sure if I have touched on this subject yet or not but I am going to now and if its a repeat, oh well.

I truly feel bad for guys sometimes. Don't get me wrong, most of the time it seems that guys go out just looking to find a piece and aren't truly interested in getting to know a girl. However, for those fellas that take you out, buy dinner, a movie and try to show you a great time and is a gentleman, you have to give something back to him. And no, I am not talking sex! My pet peeve is that women will take and take from guys, but who ever gives back to them? I think initially, guys should take the girl out and buy, however, after the 3rd date, I think a girl should say that she is treating and let him know that you aren't just a taker. It will make him feel good to. And not just because he didn't have to pay but because it will show him that you care enough to think to do that and be courteous to him.

Women always expect the guys to do this and that for them....but what about the guys? Do they secretly think that in their minds but dont say anything? If I were a guy, I would....Id be screaming it out loud!

The games we play

Ok, you have seen me write about the dating games before and I have to touch base on it again.....oh, how they infuriate me! Why is it when you meet someone and hit it off they either don't call you back at all or bug the crap out of you? Also, why is it if you have known someone for a long time and you know that you care about one another he just can't seem to show his emotions to you at all?

Life is so short, even if there are a few little snags along the way, wouldn't it be better to give it all you have to see if it could work instead of holding back and not experiencing all that there is to offer?

If you died tomorrow, would you die a happy man/woman? Would you be happy with the choices that you made in life? Would you want to go back and try to change anything from the past? Or even change the present? All Im saying is, love someone with all your heart, because by the time you come around (if you do) they may be gone and it will be too late.

Don't let that girl or guy of your dreams slip away!

Meeting someone online

I love to try and figure out a person by their behaviors. So, last night I received an I'M from some random person. I go to check the profile on it and the only pic on there is of about $10,000.00 cash and his screename is richhandsome something...so, I think to myself, this guy is either full of crap and just trying to play games. Married and looking to have a fling and thinks saying he has money will find him a little hottie to play with. Or, he is rich but ugly and can't get a date so he has to use money to get any sort of attention from a female.

So, I told him that I thought he was one of the three and of course he said I was totally wrong. However, by the end of our conversation, he ended up being married (which he originally stated he wasn't) and was wanting to find a girlfriend.

I think its interesting how you can figure out a person by their actions...so try to be more perceptive to the things people do around you. You may be amazed by what you can figure out.

When he doesnt do what he says

Alright now guys...listen up! If you tell a girl you are going to call her...CALL HER! One thing I can not stand about a man is one that is not of his word. If he is going to let me down and not pick up a lousy phone then how do I know he can be counted on for the important things?

If you tell me your going to do something and don't do it...I will give you one strike...do it to me a second time and Im going to say bye bye and not talk to you anymore. You know the old saying, first time shame on you, second time shame on me...I wont be taken three times...sorry. Its not hard to do what you say. If you can't do whatever you promise, then don't promise it!

Ok, I will get off my soap box now...that is just one of my major pet peeves and I thought I would share it:)

How to make a first date successful

Top Five things to make your first date a success...

5. Be a gentleman...girls love a man that is!

4. If your going to a movie, don't go to a horror flick, let her choose what you see. (just suck it up if she chooses a chick flick)

3. If you like the girl, make little gestures to show her you like her but don't grope her or make comments that are too forward. Girls don't really like that. If you do subtle gestures that will make her want you more.

2. Ask her questions about herself, let her talk and make her feel like you are really interested in her.

1. When saying goodnight, give her a kiss on the cheek or a light one on the lips. Don't hang around waiting for her to invite you up. If you don't act like you are interested, that is what will make her more interested in you. You may not get to sleep with her on the first date (or you may) but she will be more likely to say yes when you call for the second date because she is going to want to see if you are interested. 

What a man wants

Ok ladies, this one is directed at you. You may want to bash me when Im done but it really needs to be said.

Women are such strange beings, when we are first dating we are all into the man and just having a great time. Once we get married, we tend to be the same for a while but then we begin to get into other things and neglect the man a little. THEN, we have kids...the poor guys at that point may as well just walk out the door. I would have to say, most women, once they have kids pretty much lose interest in the guy. Yes, you still love him, but your focus is on the kids.

Over time women change. We aren't trying to capture the man anymore. But the sad thing is, the guys haven't changed. They are still the same person they were when you met them. So, when you get married and have kids and push them away a little or tell them your too tired, you are neglecting them. And that is why they cheat. They didn't ask for this, that isn't what they signed up for. Most of the poor guys think that when they get married it will be great! Sorry guys, its not what you think.

Ladies, men do not lose their sex drive, they do not lose the desire to be with you. They could be active every day of the week...well, most of them. So, if you catch your man cheating, before you bash him for it, really look at your relationship and see if you may not be the reason for it happening. Remember, they are not made up the same as women, put yourself in their shoes and just try to think about things like they do. Maybe if more people did this there wouldn't be so much divorce.

Grooming

Let's face it, nobody wants to date a monkey! With that said, ladies, before going on a date, make sure you have shaved the legs and underarms. Even if you think nothing will happen, do you really want to be in an uncomfortable position where something could and you don't because your a spiketail?

And gents, please please PLEASE, trim your facial hair! Nobody wants to kiss someone with a face full of fly away hair on it. You don't have to shave it off but certainly make sure that it is close to your face and looks neat. Oh, and don't forget to trim the long hairs on your eyebrows, nose or ears. A lot of men never trim the eyebrows and those little wild hairs can be quite distracting to look at.

The perfect kiss!

Let's face it, none of us like a tongue down our throats so far that you can taste what the person had for lunch. So, with that said, you want to kiss a girl with passion but not too hard.

It is nice to have soft kisses that will work into more passionate ones. However, nobody likes to end a kiss with a wet face. So, if you think a girl..or a guy, wants to have a big wet one planted on them, you may want to rethink that. It's actually quite gross. Also, you dont want to move your tongue so fast that you feel like its a race to keep up with them. Personally, if someone were to kiss me that fast I would have to say stop, let me do it and follow my lead....then hopefully they would see what works for me.

So in a nut shell a good kiss should be....soft, gentle, slow and passionate...a kiss should not be...too long, fast or so wet that you need a napkin to wipe your face afterwards!
