Why good guys finish last

I think I have finally figured out why good guys finish last. Yes, they are out there, the guys that will be attentive to your every need and will say and do all the right things and never ask for anything in return. He will just love you unconditionally and be by your side. So why is it that girls tend to dump those guys and move on to someone that isn't so loving and tends to think about themselves and expects you to take care of them?

It is because men have to feel wanted and women have to feel needed. Women have a maternal instinct and want to take care, nurture and help....if a man doesn't need us to do things for them, to take care of them then we tend to move on to a guy that does need that.

Don't get me wrong, both sex's have the desire to be both needed and wanted, but lets face it, men seek out multiple women, women seek out one man. I think that men are the sex that have to feel wanted and women are the sex that have to feel needed. And that is why I think the good guys finish last. But in the end, they do finish:)

When parents get sick

You know, when we are little we look to our folks for guidance and protection. You assume that they will always be there and that they are stronger than anyone else and will not have anything bad happen to them.

Then, as you get older, and they get older, you start to see that they will get sick and eventually leave us. But when it happens, it is so hard to comprehend. At least for me it is.

My dad got sick after a biopsy two weeks ago and ended up with 106 degree temp and almost died. He was in the hospital for five days and when he was released he was told that he had cancer. I try to think positive and hope that only the best will come out of it. I went to see him and mom last weekend and while there I was told that mom may have the nasty cancer as well.....talk about a shocker! I just don't know how to deal with it at the moment and I am starting to have a very negative outlook on life. At first, when dad was sick, I thought, why argue with people, why worry about the little things...so I stopped. I truly did not want to waste the time I have here worrying about little things I have no control over and that will mean absolutely nothing to me two weeks down the road. But now, since hearing about mom, I have started to look at life differently once again. Now, I feel like...whats it all for? None of it really matters, when you die it is over....so what are we doing it all for? I have really lost any drive I use to have and I don't know how to get it back.

No, I'm not suicidal, I guess I'm just lost right now and need to find my way before I lose everything I have been working so hard for. Any suggestions???

sleep disorders

Good morning all! It has been quite some time since I have written and I think this will do me some good to start back for awhile. Boy, these past few months have been crazy and I feel like Im at my witts end.

About a month ago I had a friend tell me I should talk to my doctor about my sleep. See, I tend to get real tired and fall asleep at the worst times. You know, like while watching movies/tv, while talking on the phone and oh, riding in a car,.. driving. But for years when I get real tired I just pull over and sleep for 20 minutes and finish the drive. Yes, there have been a couple of close calls where I have almost hit someone, but luckily it never happened. Ok, so anyway, I go to do a sleep study and for the most part things are normal.

Not the best experience of my life but I did go and do it and the pulmonary specialist told me I should go see a neurologist because he thinks something is going on but cant figure out what.....dont you just love it when you spend money to go see a doctor and the final result is them telling you they dont know whats wrong....just makes you really want to go to another one that will probably say the same thing. And this isnt my normal doc that tells me he doesnt know, this is the specialist that my normal doc sent me to....so of all people he should know what the heck is going on  right? Oh well, Im done wasting time with this, I have dealt with it for years and I think I will just continue.
