MS attack

I found out today that my sister is having another MS attack. I do not understand exactly how it works...but I feel awful when someone has to go through the episodes that come on. She is now having issues with her right side. Evidently, her whole right side is like its paralyzed. She can't eat, walk or do anything that requires the use of anything on her right side. I can only imagine what she is going through and I hope she gets over this soon.

The reason I am writing about it, is that I am hoping that someone may have more experience with how MS works and may comment and offer some suggestions on how to improve her condition or maybe give ideas on how to prevent another episode. She has been going in the past 4 days for IV drips to get the swelling around her spine to go down but they aren't helping...any ideas?

American Idol

This is a dumb question, but Im going to ask it anyway....is there anyone out there that truly likes Sanjia? ( I can't remember how to spell his name..but oh well, he certainly won't be remembered for his singing) That boy is a joke and should not be on that show.

From what I have heard, Howard Stern is getting his listeners to call in and vote so he can get this kid to win. Now, Im sorry, that is just not right.  A lot of time and money has been put into this show and these people are working hard to become the idol. Why are people stupid enough to listen to a dj and call in to mess with all of these people working so hard to be successful. I mean seriously, when its all said and done, do you think anyone is going to buy a cd that this child makes....if he even does make one.

So stop listening to Stern and start voting for who you think should really win. Why ruin the fate of someone just to do something foolish, there isnt a reward for you at the end when it's over. There isn't a party....there is nothing, so stop this nonsense!

Vegas Baby!!

Well, in about 6 weeks I am heading to Vegas! I am so psyched about it! My friend Laura and I were going to head to NC for a weekend to a spa and have all the girlie stuff done. Then we got thinking about it and she had never been to Vegas before. I however am pretty familiar with the town and wouldn't mind a return visit. So, she said, lets do it! So we booked the flights tonight and are heading out in the middle of May.

I was pretty fortunate to get round trip flights for under $200.00. I thought it was suppose to be cheaper going that time of year since its so warm there...usually January is the best time to go from what I remember. The rooms are more pricey too....anyone know of some ways to get the rooms at a cheaper rate? Im averaging about $105.00/night at the Stratosphere.

Any suggestions on good shows to see are welcome as well. We are thinking of seeing the Blue Man Group...has anyone seen it yet?

Going to the gym!

Yep, I did it! I went to the gym! I knew I needed to start going but I am so bad about committing to anything I just avoid it like the plague.

But this weekend I took a chance. A g/f of mine wanted to go so I went with her. I was there about 30 minutes, did a little bit of the treadmill, steps, weights and that big round ball for crunches...oh god I need that at home..what fun there is to be had on that thing! Whew!! LOL

Even though I felt good afterwards, I didn't bother returning the next day. So, I have decided since it is spring, I am going to try walking at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes...thats what the doc says I should be doing. Then once I start to feel a difference with doing that, maybe it will get me motivated to work out.

Until that point, is there any pointers any of you fitness buffs can give that will help you get the drive to get to the gym on a regular basis? What is it that makes a person love going to work out? If there is such a thing, what is it???? I need a sampling of it now!:)

The games we play

Ok, you have seen me write about the dating games before and I have to touch base on it again.....oh, how they infuriate me! Why is it when you meet someone and hit it off they either don't call you back at all or bug the crap out of you? Also, why is it if you have known someone for a long time and you know that you care about one another he just can't seem to show his emotions to you at all?

Life is so short, even if there are a few little snags along the way, wouldn't it be better to give it all you have to see if it could work instead of holding back and not experiencing all that there is to offer?

If you died tomorrow, would you die a happy man/woman? Would you be happy with the choices that you made in life? Would you want to go back and try to change anything from the past? Or even change the present? All Im saying is, love someone with all your heart, because by the time you come around (if you do) they may be gone and it will be too late.

Don't let that girl or guy of your dreams slip away!
